For AOFC Anthony interviewed 5 students and young professionals who tell it like it is. When discussing student debt with Rebecca in her interview: “I’m graduating with $40,000 in federal loans,” remarks Rebecca a GWU engineering school full & merit scholarship recipient, Anthony replies, “That’s not that bad!”

For a clearer picture read any one of the illuminating page-turners from our eye opening stories page.  In  Ron Suskind’s,  A Hope in the Unseen, An American Odyssey from the Inner City to the Ivy League, you’ll learn how the journey is far from mundane. I can’t imagine how Cedric Jennings would have made it without a benefactor who read Suskind’s Pulitzer Prize WSJ feature story. A caring fellow provided Jennings with $200 a month for food and expenses to add to his campus employment income, and paid for a tutor to bring Jenning’s academic skills up to speed.

WHAT FOLKS ARE SAYING . . .

From the Program Director who works with some students we've supported, thanks to your donations:

“I can’t explain to you how much this outdoor gear and camping equipment is going to help with outdoor programming. And, the computers are extremely helpful for college applications, applying for jobs, and scholarship research.”

“I told the Program Coordinators about all the new gear coming in and they're particularly happy about the sleeping bag liners. Thanks again so much MaryAnn! All this gear is really going to help us a ton.”

Thanks to Pro Photo, Washington, DC, for excellent customer support in choosing the appropriate cameras.
Others say. . .
A Giving Tuesday contributor and Board member wrote: "I like the idea of the transportation cards.  Like you say there is so much that can be done.  I like that you are filling the needs that others don’t usually think about.”    PB

"Hi MaryAnn,
Thank you for the photo of the Mac laptops!  I just printed it and put it on my wall. I’m so happy that All Out For Change® is able to make use of the computers and I’ll let you know as soon as I have additional ones to donate."     MG

"MaryAnn,
I am thrilled with the work you are doing!  I am grateful our paths have crossed and look forward to working with you in the future! I will definitely spread the word!
Have a great rest of the week!"   TP

"Hi MaryAnn,
Thank you for the note. I commend you for what you are doing making a difference in the community for the future younger generation. Your efforts indeed go a long way. I will certainly send your link to friends and for sure will use my most effective way word of mouth. Thanks!"   CS

"MaryAnn, you’re doing wonderful things! It’s people like you who make the world a better place one sleeping mat and bag at a time! Hugs."     Dr. SL

A 2017 & 2020 Supplemental Scholarship Award Recipient, Anthony Anderson…

I wish to express my deepest gratitude to you and AllOutForChange. From the very beginning of my journey to and through college, you've helped bring my dream of becoming a renowned opera singer into focus by supporting me both financially and emotionally. With your support, I've had opportunities to travel and find the right school for me, play in my first two full length operas this past year, and even sing at Carnegie Hall this past winter. Know that you make a difference. Despite the many misfortunes this world has, which have grown even more present this past year, y'all provide a helping hand to those in need. Please, continue the good work!

All my best, Anthony Anderson, September 24, 2020
