We believe that youth, regardless
|
Fortunate urban, rural, and American Indian reservation participants in invaluable youth development programs benefit from strong mentorship and support. Nevertheless, due to limited financial resources (43% of US households can’t afford the basics), they face barriers to achieving their goals: $100 college application fees for example, among other necessary expenses. Our College Access Grant funds make a difference by helping these goal oriented students overcome roadblocks and achieve their dreams by funding college counselors, college fair attendance, college tours and transportation; college prep and professional development workshops; and awarding Supplemental Scholarships for essentials like application fees, laptops, books, meals, school supplies, and the myriad college and college prep expenses their wealthier peers’ families can afford.
All Out For Change® raises awareness of less privileged high school students’ hurdles, supports students and invaluable youth development programs, gives more students opportunities to cultivate success, bolster achievement, and change their lives for good. Learn how we’re making a difference.
Now, more than ever… Those who are fortunate to be embraced by a nonprofit with dedicated staff benefit from the standard fare of wealthier families, entering a haven for a life-changing experience. More youth deserve this chance. That’s where All Out for Change® and you make it happen! Contribute to the College Access Fund & Change Lives.

Learn how we helped an aspiring young opera singer soar . . . with your help we can do more
Get the picture: Our first grant recipient’s inspiring story and Today Show segment illustrate how potential is mined when embraced by a nonprofit program and strangers who “get the picture”, care, and contribute funds to achieve aspirations."I’m blessed," Anthony remarked, when we first met. And that, he is: with talent for opera, his voice; acceptance into an extraordinary nonprofit program from 6th through 12th grades and into a public magnet school for the arts where his gift was nurtured. The only crucial thing missing? The Money… to pay off first-term college debt and release his transcripts to apply to, audition at and visit universities and music conservatories… in hopes of receiving a generous scholarship.
Blessings rained down upon him in the way of funds to pay off his debt when a columnist got word of and wrote about his predicament and fundraiser he created. Newspaper readers seeing the tragedy in the story wanted to help, including me through All Out for Change®.
Talking with him and learning what he needed funds for, I realized he and his ambitious peers can’t even apply for many scholarship opportunities without the money to submit college applications and visit schools. So, we created a grant for this purpose, and Anthony was our first recipient. Scholarship offers followed! He accepted a full scholarship to Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Had he not received the press revealing this predicament faced by he and his bright promising peers, he, his dreams and aspirations, could have been stuck in a holding pattern, working at minimum wage to slowly chip away at the debt and accruing interest. So true, his remarks, “I’m blessed,” and “it takes a village”.

Many of our youth are on an exceptionally challenging journey to change their lives and we’re here to help make that change happen.
How your Contributions Help: Your contributions and help spreading the word will put the cause on the national radar, cultivate empowered youth, their upward mobility, achievement and change for good as we:
• Support excellent nonprofits that serve less privileged urban, rural, and American Indian reservation youth with experiences their more privileged, wealthier peers have in their schools and families (summer camp, tutors, athletics, music, field trips, travel, SAT prep, and more), cultivating a competitive college applicant, preparing them for higher education, to achieve their potential.
• Help individual students with Supplemental Scholarship Funds, providing life-changing grants for essentials like application fees, travel expenses to visit schools, laptops, books, meals, school supplies, and the myriad college and college prep expenses their wealthier peers’ families can afford.
• Build a public awareness campaign… their conundrum stories will be amplified through our megaphone. We want people to “get the picture”, learn about the tragic conundrum of youth, from families lacking financial resources, who have aspirations for a career and economic mobility; read about it, help do something about it.
Our urban, rural, and American Indian reservation youth who lack financial means have the same aspirations as America’s wealthier youth: access to higher education, living wage jobs, economic independence. All Out for Change® helps them achieve their potential. We provide grants and fund invaluable programs to cultivate success, bolster achievement, change lives.
Higher education is a proven route to upward mobility and every youth deserves a chance to pursue their aspirations regardless of family wealth.
“I’m optimistic that ALL together we can help change lives in a very significant, much needed way. When I read stories and meet young adults and teens with aspirations, talent and initiative like Anthony, and when I learn of the many strangers’ desire to pitch in, I trust we can make a life-time difference for others.” MaryAnn Puglisi, Chief Engagement Officer, Founder, All Out for Change®
